Mathieu Simard, who holds a B.A. degree in architecture from Université Laval, launched Habitat Consultants in 2005. He is its president and consultant. Mr. Simard is very actively involved in the Charlevoix community. He has been a member of various boards of directors and was the president of the Chamber of commerce of Charlevoix from 2004 to 2008. He currently serves as its vice-president for management and finance. He has also been a member of the board of directors of the Société d’aide au développement de la collectivité (SADC) of Charlevoix, a member of the board and of the executive committee of the Centre local de développement de Charlevoix and of the Comité consultatif d’urbanisme de Baie-Saint-Paul, from 2005 to 2009. He was a member of the board of the Musée d’art contemporain de Baie-Saint-Paul, from 2007 to 2010, and was appointed president of the board on January 19, 2012. Mr. Simard is a member of the Ordre des architectes du Québec (2009) and of the Ordre des technoloques professionels du Québec (2006).
